Through our endowment to the PM² Alliance we invest back
to the community and foster the ecosystem that disseminates
the PM² Methodology across Europe and beyond

The PM² Alliance engages individuals from institutions, companies, and the academia to inspire dialogue and share resources, while promoting the adoption of the PM² Methodology.
The association aims to disseminate the PM² Methodology and to create a community beyond the EC’s institutions, which works together to promote the methodology’s benefits. The PM² Alliance is engaged in a continuous dialogue with stakeholders in Europe, including the European Union and national policymakers, European advocacy groups as well as other professional management & project management associations undertaking European affairs activities.
The PM² Alliance was established as an international not-for-profit organisation based in Brussels in 2019 and we aim to provide opportunities for life‐long learning, career development and professional networking through a wide range of projects and initiatives. PM² Alliance plays a crucial role in enabling the sharing of knowledge and experiences and promoting PM² as a common, open and free methodology for Europe and beyond.
Since then, the PM² Alliance has joined forces with several organisations from across Europe, sharing expertise and fostering closer relations among their members and partners. By exposing them to each other’s best practices, events, publications, along with commonly developed project management knowledge and assets, eventually, both project management communities greatly benefit in a wide range of domains while promoting higher standards of project management.
As the world’s only society of its kind, the Alliance strengthens the community’s collective voice through strong leadership, promotion of the highest standards, and recognition of professional excellence, while engaged in a continuous dialogue with stakeholders in Europe, including the European Union and national policymakers, European advocacy groups as well as other professional management & project management associations undertaking European affairs activities.
The Mission
The PM² Alliance carries the torch of the Open PM² vision, promotes and evolves PM², and takes it to places “where no PM² has gone before”. It brings the Open PM² community together, connecting PM² practitioners, trainers, experts and project managers from all over Europe and works with other Institutions and organisations in promoting better project management in Europe.

The PM² Alliance Manifesto

We, the Signatories of the PM² Manifesto:

BELIEVE THAT

the future of project management depends on the community of project managers working together

KNOW THAT

effective project orientation is the key for organisations and society to deal with the many challenges of our times

ARE CONVINCED THAT

project management doesn’t need to be complicated, sophisticated or require a large upfront investment

AGREE THAT

the time has matured for the adoption of a lean and effective project management methodology

As members of the PM² Alliance, we will:
invest in the simplicity of the PM² approach rather than developing it towards becoming a comprehensive super tool-box
advocate the establishment of the PM² Mindsets as an essential dimension of effective project management and team behaviour
promote the PM² Governance Model as an indispensable pillar of project management and a success enabler for the creation of value for stakeholders
evolve PM² to cover the PM community’s needs through the coordinated involvement of the community itself
be guided by agile strategies which allow us to be responsive to the domain’s evolving demands and needs
