The SPM² project (Sustainable Project Management through PM²) officially launched with its kick-off meeting on December 10–11, 2024, at the University of Novi Sad, Serbia. This groundbreaking initiative, co-funded by the European Union, brings together a strong consortium of partners dedicated to integrating sustainability into project management education.
Bringing Sustainability into Project Management
The SPM² project aims to modernize project management training by embedding sustainability principles into the PM² methodology, aligning with the European Green Deal and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By equipping higher education institutions (HEIs) and vocational education and training (VET) centers with sustainability-focused tools and curricula, the project prepares professionals for the challenges of a greener economy.
